Dairy milk is already a liquid, how can you melt it?

  2. Stubee1988

You got water into the chocolate somehow and it seized it

I need more information as to why? And what were you trying to accomplish?

Too much heat. If the chocolate is COMPLETELY MELTED while on heat then you’ve already gone too far. Low heat until it’s partially melted then stir off heat using the residual heat in the bowl and the rest of the chocolate until melted completely.

I don’t think Cadbury is popular enough in the US for most Americans to recognize that this post isn’t about literal dairy milk.

I don’t know enough about the brand of chocolate, but it kind of looks like it seized; which means a bit of water got in.

When melting chocolate always be sure that your bowl is 100% dry and larger than the pot of boiling water so that the steam doesn’t get to the chocolate. Even one drop of water will ruin melting chocolate – it’s very annoying.

Looks like you’re gonna layer some bricks with that

I thought I was looking at a poop knife incident

I read the title and was like ‘huh, I’ve melted dairy milk loads and it’s never happened to me’, only to read the comments from so many people who were so confused by “Dairy Milk” 😂 I took for granted that everyone would know it’s like the most well known bar of chocolate in the UK 🤣
This isn’t a dig at anyone, just genuinely made me laugh 😂😂😂

Instead of the poop knife, you’re testing out the poop spatula.

  11. That-Water-Guy

Isn’t milk, in any form, already melted?

There was probably moisture in the bar and with the pot covered that moisture condensed on the cover and dripped into the chocolate. It takes very little moisture to do this.

Aaaarrghhh I tried to make cornflake cakes with dairy milk and ended up with the same mess – glad it’s not just me! 🤣

This is a crime but I don’t know which one yet

Add water and it’ll go back to normal just have patience

  19. Cadbury is the norm here in Australia and I am still confused why you would call it just “dairy milk”
